Check-in and check-out

• Check-in from 3:00 pm, check-out by 10:00 am.
• Early check-in or late check-out may be possible on request. Please text us in advance.

Guests

• Maximum 5 guests, including infants.
• Please enter the exact number of guests, including children and infants, when booking.
• Only registered guests are permitted on the property. No visitors, please.
• Unregistered guests are not permitted to stay and may result in cancellation of the booking without refund.

Quiet and respect

• We are in a quiet residential neighbourhood. Please keep noise to a minimum, especially between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
• No parties or events.

Smoking and pets

• No smoking or vaping inside the home.
• Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Please keep doors and windows closed while smoking and dispose of cigarette butts responsibly.
• No pets allowed.

Caring for the home

• Please treat the home as you would your own and let us know straight away if anything is damaged or not working.
• Please turn off the air conditioning, lights and appliances when you go out.
• Please wash dishes before check-out and sort rubbish and recycling into the bins provided.

Parking and safety

• One dedicated parking space at the front door. Please do not park in neighbouring driveways.
• Please keep doors and windows locked when you go out.
• Children must be supervised at all times, especially on the terrace and trampoline. Trampoline use is at your own risk.

Stays of fewer than 21 nights

• Free cancellation more than 30 days before check-in, with a full refund.
• Cancellations made 30 days or less before check-in are non-refundable.
• Bookings made 30 days or less before check-in are non-refundable from the time of confirmation.

Stays of 21 nights or more

• Free cancellation within 48 hours of your booking being confirmed, with a full refund.
• After 48 hours, the booking is non-refundable.
• If the booking is confirmed less than 48 hours before check-in, it is non-refundable from the time of confirmation.

General

• All cancellations must be made in writing by email or text message. The cancellation time is the time we receive your message (New Zealand time).
• Refunds are made to the original payment method.
• No refunds are given for late arrival, early departure or unused nights.

These terms apply to all bookings made directly with Gathered Time Retreat, operated by June Ju (sole trader), Shamrock Park, Auckland, New Zealand. By making a booking, you agree to these terms.

1. Bookings and payment

• Full payment is required at the time of booking.
• Payment can be made by bank transfer in NZD, or by WeChat Pay or Alipay in RMB. Payment details are shown after you submit your booking request.
• Please use your booking reference as the payment reference.
• Your booking is confirmed only once full payment has been received in our account. We will then send your written confirmation.
• If payment is not received within 24 hours of your booking request, the request may be cancelled and the dates released to other guests.
• If your dates are no longer available when your payment arrives, we will contact you and refund your payment in full.
• Prices are set in New Zealand dollars (NZD). RMB amounts are converted at the exchange rate on the day of your booking request. Gathered Time Retreat is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.

2. Cancellation

• Cancellations are handled according to the cancellation policy above.

3. Changes to your booking

• Requests to change dates or guest numbers are subject to availability and must be agreed by us in writing.
• Any price difference will be charged or refunded accordingly. Changes do not reset the cancellation timeframes.

4. Check-in and check-out

• Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am.
• Late check-out without prior agreement may incur an additional charge.

5. Guests

• The number of guests must not exceed the number stated in your booking or the maximum of 5 guests.
• Only registered guests are permitted on the property. Unregistered guests may result in cancellation of the booking without refund.

6. House rules

• All guests must follow our house rules, which form part of these terms.
• Serious or repeated breaches, including parties, smoking indoors, pets or unregistered guests, may result in the booking being ended early without refund.

7. Damage

• Guests are responsible for any damage, loss or excessive cleaning caused during their stay.
• Any costs will be charged to the guest after check-out. We will provide details and evidence of any charges.

8. Liability

• Guests use the property and its facilities at their own risk.
• We are not responsible for loss of or damage to guests' personal belongings, or for any injury, except where caused by our negligence.
• We are not liable for temporary interruptions to services such as power, water or internet that are outside our control.

9. Cancellation by us

• In the rare event that we need to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund of all amounts paid. Our liability is limited to this refund.

10. Events beyond our control

• Neither party is liable for failure to perform obligations due to events beyond reasonable control, such as natural disasters, severe weather or government restrictions. In such cases we will work with you to offer alternative dates where possible.

11. Privacy

• We collect your personal information only to manage your booking and stay. We do not sell or share it with third parties, except where needed to process payment or required by law.

12. Governing law

• These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986.
